So you think that driving with no insurance is a good way to save money right? WRONG! Let me give you an example of driving with no insurance. So all of a sudden you look in your mirror and you see lights you pull over and of course the first thing that they ask you for is license and insurance. So you hand over your license and tell them you have no insurance the officer says ok walks back to his car and you think your off the hook. So the officer comes back and then tells you to step out of the car. You step out of the car and then he hands you a ticket tell you that you need insurance and keeps your license which now your going to get points against you its not just one or two its like six or seven and then he then calls the tow truck to pick up your car. So now you have to pay to get your car from the pound, pay the ticket for driving with no insurance, get your license suspended and points against it and oh yes to unsuspended your license you HAVE to get insurance for a whole year. Oh yes also your vehicles registration gets suspended as well. When you could have avoided this in the first place. As you can see it is definitely worth having the insurance. Not only to save money but to protect yourself with others. Here in Illinois it is mandatory to have insurance if operating a vehicle. If you did end up in a accident they can sue you for your home car or anything of value. It is called when they start attacking your assets. So as you can clearly read its not worth saving a few dollars which can make you in the end pay thousands. Be smart and get insurance protect yourself and those around you.
